A presidential election is scheduled to take place in Brazil on October 4, 2026. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate that wins this election. This market includes any potential second round. If the result of this election isn't known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Brazilian government, specifically the Superior Electoral Court (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral, TSE) (e.g., https://dadosabertos.tse.jus.br/).Lula da Silva maintains a modest edge in trader pricing for Brazil’s October 4 presidential election because recent national polls continue to place the incumbent ahead in both first-round and runoff simulations against Flávio Bolsonaro. The gap has narrowed in surveys released in late August and early September, with Lula typically at 37–43 percent and Flávio at 29–35 percent in multi-candidate fields, while runoff matchups sit near statistical ties or within single digits. Flávio’s position as the Liberal Party nominee draws consolidated right-wing support as the eldest son and designated successor of the ineligible former president, yet family disputes, associations with a controversial banker, and elevated rejection levels have capped his momentum. Augusto Cury has climbed into third place in several polls through media visibility, but remains well behind the two frontrunners. Traders therefore assign the bulk of probability to a Lula–Flávio contest while treating other listed names as long shots.
