Lula maintains a commanding lead in Rio Grande do Norte first-round polling, with recent Quaest surveys showing the incumbent PT president at 54-56% against Flávio Bolsonaro at 19-20% and all other listed candidates at 2% or below. This regional strength stems from consistent Northeast voter preferences for PT candidates, reinforced by government approval ratings near 60% and alignment on social programs and economic policies. Trader consensus at 97% for Lula reflects the wide gap and fragmented opposition ahead of the October 4, 2026, vote. A late-breaking national scandal, significant polling shift, or unexpected turnout surge among right-leaning blocs could narrow the margin, though no such developments have materialized in state-specific data.
