Flavio Bolsonaro holds an 81% implied probability of finishing first in Rio de Janeiro’s first-round presidential vote on October 4, 2026, reflecting Rio-specific polling that consistently places the Liberal Party senator ahead of or statistically tied with incumbent President Lula. Local surveys from July through early September, including Quaest, Real Time, and Datafolha, show Flavio at 31–36% in the state compared with Lula’s 29–34%, supported by his established voter base in a region where his father previously performed strongly. Lula trails in these Rio samples despite leading national aggregates. Other candidates, including Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, Renan Santos, and Augusto Cury, register single digits or lower in state testing, while fringe names remain negligible. The market pricing aligns with this regional pattern rather than nationwide trends.
