This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the next Montarville Quebec National Assembly election for a full term beginning in October 2026 or thereafter. If the election results are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting. In case of ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official election results as published by Elections Quebec (https://www.electionsquebec.qc.ca/).Nathalie Roy, the long-serving CAQ incumbent and former National Assembly president first elected in 2012, holds the clearest edge in Montarville due to established voter support in a riding the party carried with 46 percent in 2022. Jean-François Cloutier, the PQ nominee and former investigative journalist who announced his candidacy in August 2026, trails as the main challenger in a seat where the PQ has historically placed second. Projections from models updated in early September show the CAQ favored at roughly 70-80 percent odds of retaining the riding ahead of the October 5 vote. Other declared candidates, including Liberal Mathieu Lavoie and Québec solidaire’s Ginette Langlois, register minimal support in current assessments.
