PL maintains a leading position in the Brazil Chamber of Deputies race due to its status as the largest current caucus with approximately 97 seats and established national infrastructure that supports candidate recruitment and mobilization under the open-list proportional system. UPB, the federation uniting União Brasil and Progressistas with roughly 50 seats, trails as traders price in its more fragmented center-right positioning and competition from other centrão groups. Presidential polling trends showing a competitive race between Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) have reinforced right-wing legislative momentum without major recent shifts altering bloc dynamics. High incumbent re-election rates and limited turnover further favor established parties like PL ahead of the October 4 vote.
