MLSTP–PSD holds a commanding lead in trader consensus ahead of the September 27 parliamentary vote, reflecting its successful alignment with re-elected President Carlos Vila Nova during the July presidential contest and the resulting momentum for the main opposition party. ADI, which secured a parliamentary majority in 2022, faces significant internal divisions over leadership that have limited its ability to consolidate support. Multiple smaller parties and coalitions, including Basta, MCI-PS/PUN, PCD, and MDFM, are contesting seats under proportional representation rules for the 55-member National Assembly, but none appear positioned to challenge the frontrunner. Late shifts in turnout patterns, cross-party alliances, or unforeseen campaign developments could still alter the outcome before polls close.
