Current National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta project overnight lows in the lower 70s on September 6 under partly cloudy skies with patchy fog possible early, followed by increasing clouds and a 50% chance of thunderstorms later. These conditions support the market's tight clustering around 72–77°F outcomes, as radiative cooling under limited cloud cover and light northwest winds favors minima near 72–74°F, while any earlier or thicker cloud deck could limit drops below 75°F. Model consensus from recent runs shows modest uncertainty tied to exact timing of moisture advection and boundary-layer mixing, with historical September averages near 68°F underscoring the anomalously warm pattern. Updated guidance ahead of the overnight period will likely refine trader positioning before resolution.
