**Official National Weather Service forecasts and supporting model consensus project a daily maximum of 79°F in New York City on September 5 under partly to mostly cloudy skies with northerly flow around 5–10 mph.** This setup, following several warmer days earlier in the week, favors a peak in the upper 70s rather than pushing into the low 80s. Real-time surface observations from Central Park and area airports have tracked closely with these guidance trends throughout the day. The dominant 78–79°F market outcome reflects traders’ alignment with this high-confidence forecast from authoritative sources, though minor deviations remain possible if unexpected breaks in cloud cover enhance insolation or if steering winds weaken more than anticipated.
