This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2026 Žilina Region gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Žilina Region and Slovakia, including the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic (https://volby.statistics.sk/).Erika Jurinová, the incumbent Žilina Region governor since 2017 and re-elected in 2022, holds the leading position in the October 24, 2026, election after formally announcing her third-term bid in late June with backing from a broad center-right and liberal coalition including Hnutie Slovensko, Za ľudí, SaS, Progresívne Slovensko, and others. This cross-party alignment and her record on regional infrastructure, social services, and healthcare have shaped trader consensus around her prospects.
