United Russia enters the September 18–20, 2026, State Duma election as the dominant incumbent in Russia’s mixed electoral system of proportional party-list seats and single-member districts. The party benefits from extensive administrative resources, nomination of high-profile candidates including Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, inclusion of war veterans on lists, and the exclusion of non-systemic challengers such as Yabloko via court rulings. State-affiliated polls consistently show the party well ahead of the Communist Party, LDPR, New People, and other registered options. Trader consensus at 99 percent reflects these structural barriers to meaningful competition, though an unforeseen late development could still alter the registered outcome before official results are certified.
