United Russia maintains a commanding position heading into the September 18–20, 2026, regional legislative elections across 39 subjects, bolstered by incumbency in nearly all assemblies, control of administrative resources, and favorable single-member district maps. Recent party congresses and primaries finalized strong candidate slates, including regional governors heading lists, while opposition parties face registration hurdles and limited media access. National polling trends show the party holding a wide lead, consistent with its historical dominance in parallel voting systems that amplify majorities. Trader pricing at 63.5% for sweeping every region reflects these structural edges alongside uncertainty over turnout mechanics, electronic voting patterns, and potential localized challenges in a handful of competitive districts.
