The crowded field of over two dozen candidates for Cusco's October 4, 2026, mayoral election has kept trader probabilities tightly clustered, with Albert Aníbal Arenas Yabar holding the highest implied odds near 46% amid a fragmented vote. Several district mayors and former officials, including Sergio Sullca Condori and William Peña Farfán, draw support from established local bases and party movements, while limited recent public polling leaves room for volatility. Legal scrutiny around some contenders and standard campaign dynamics in Peru's multi-party municipal contests further sustain uncertainty, with any late endorsements, debates, or turnout shifts among key voting blocs potentially widening gaps before resolution.
