Flavio Bolsonaro maintains a clear lead in Rio Grande do Sul polling for first place in the October 2026 presidential first round, with recent AtlasIntel and Real Time Big Data surveys showing him at 41% against Lula's 39-40%, well ahead of fragmented challengers such as Augusto Cury, Renan Santos, Ronaldo Caiado, and Romeu Zema. This positioning stems from sustained regional conservative voter alignment with the Liberal Party candidate, reinforced by Jair Bolsonaro's legacy and Flavio's September campaign stops in Porto Alegre emphasizing security and anti-establishment themes. Lula's support holds steady in urban and older demographics but trails overall, while minor candidates remain marginal. Trader consensus reflects these state-level patterns and the absence of major late shifts within the resolution window.
