This market will resolve to "Yes" if the sitting Romanian Chamber of Deputies and Senate are dissolved by the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market is official information from the government of Romania, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used. Romania's ongoing political crisis, triggered by the May 2026 no-confidence vote that ousted Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan's coalition, continues to shape trader views on parliamentary dissolution. Two subsequent prime ministerial nominations by President Nicușor Dan failed to secure the required 233 votes in parliament, leaving the country without a fully empowered government for over 125 days amid disputes over austerity, state asset sales, and coalition alignments involving parties such as PSD, PNL, USR, and AUR. Romanian constitutional rules allow dissolution and snap elections if designated prime ministers cannot form a cabinet within specified windows, yet recent negotiations and statements from PNL and the president signal efforts to avoid this outcome before the 2028 scheduled vote.
