Legislative elections are schedule to be held in Israel on October 27, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially appointed and sworn in as Prime Minister of Israel following the 2026 parliamentary election. If an election is called early, this market will immediately resolve to the individual who is officially appointed and sworn in after that election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister is sworn in by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Israel; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Gadi Eizenkot leads market pricing for the next Israeli prime minister because his new Yashar party has surged in recent polls ahead of the October 27 Knesset election, often matching or exceeding Likud while he holds a consistent edge over Benjamin Netanyahu in head-to-head suitability surveys. Eizenkot’s profile as a former IDF chief of staff, his family’s losses during the Gaza conflict, and his emphasis on decisive security measures have drawn support from voters disillusioned with the incumbent coalition after more than three years of war. Netanyahu’s bloc trails in most surveys, reflecting accumulated fatigue with his long tenure and coalition partners. Naftali Bennett’s Together list has lost ground to Eizenkot’s rise, limiting his position, while smaller parties led by figures such as Avigdor Lieberman and Itamar Ben-Gvir register lower shares consistent with their narrower projected seat totals. Coalition negotiations after the vote remain the decisive variable.
