Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models indicate overnight lows in the mid-70s for Los Angeles on September 9, driven by building high pressure reducing marine layer influence and promoting warmer downslope flow. This aligns with the market's leading 74-75°F outcome near 56.5% implied probability, as recent days have shown a warming trend with minima rising from the mid-60s toward 70°F amid sunny conditions and light onshore winds. Cooler thresholds such as 63°F or below would require an atypical strengthening of the marine layer or unexpected cloud cover, scenarios with low model consensus given the current setup. Historical September averages near 64°F provide context, but the near-term pattern favors the higher end of the distribution, with resolution hinging on final 48-hour observational updates.
