Current National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts indicate San Francisco highs on September 8 centering near 77–81°F under sunny conditions with light onshore flow, though microclimate variations across stations and model spread in boundary-layer mixing create uncertainty around the precise peak. Key differentiators among the tightly bunched 78–85°F outcomes include the strength and timing of any marine-layer erosion, afternoon wind speeds that enhance or suppress surface heating, and exact resolution criteria for the official reporting station. Historical September averages near 70–71°F provide context, but recent dry, stable high pressure has supported modest warming; updated model runs and midday observations over the next 48 hours will refine the most likely bucket.
