Recent National Weather Service forecasts for coastal Los Angeles stations, including LAX, indicate a Tuesday high near 87°F under partly cloudy skies and moderate onshore flow that limits inland heat advection. This aligns with the market's leading 86-87°F bin at 41.5% implied probability, as marine layer influences and west-southwest winds of 15-25 mph keep readings below the hotter 90°F+ scenarios favored only at 4.4% combined. Recent model consensus shows modest daytime warming from overnight lows in the mid-70s, consistent with early September climatology near 80-85°F, while any stronger offshore flow or clearer skies could nudge readings into the 88-89°F range. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon observations will refine resolution thresholds before market close.
