Official forecasts from the National Weather Service indicate a high near 92°F for Houston on September 6, with a 50-60% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms developing in a humid, unstable air mass. These storms typically limit peak heating by increasing cloud cover and evaporative cooling, aligning with the market's leading 90-91°F bin. Recent days featured highs of 91-96°F under similar late-summer patterns, while the September climatological average high stands at 91°F. Model consensus and observed moisture support temperatures clustering in the low 90s rather than extremes above 94°F or below 88°F.
