Recent pre-election surveys from multiple institutes, including Forschungsgruppe Wahlen and INSA in late August and early September 2026, have shown Bündnis 90/Die Grünen consistently polling at 5-6 percent while Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) registers 3-4 percent. The Grüne party benefits from its established Landtag presence since 2021, an organized campaign led by Spitzenkandidatin Susan Sziborra-Seidlitz emphasizing climate policy and democratic safeguards, and a broader voter base in the state. BSW, contesting its first Sachsen-Anhalt election with a dual lead candidate structure, has struggled to build comparable momentum ahead of the September 6 vote. These polling trends underpin trader expectations that Grüne will secure the larger share.
