Recent polling ahead of the September 6, 2026, Sachsen-Anhalt Landtag election shows the CDU steady at 22–23 percent, projecting roughly 20–22 seats in the 83-seat chamber under standard apportionment. This range leads trader consensus because surveys from Forschungsgruppe Wahlen, INSA, and Infratest dimap have converged on similar CDU support levels in the final weeks, with the party trailing the AfD by 18–20 points while smaller parties such as the Left, SPD, and Greens split the remainder. The CDU’s position as incumbent in a CDU–SPD–FDP coalition has not produced measurable late gains, and no major campaign events or shifts in voter intention have altered these seat projections in the past month.
