Official National Weather Service and NOAA forecasts for Chicago O'Hare on September 6, 2026, project a daily high in the upper 70s amid northeast to east winds of 5-10 mph, increasing cloud cover through the afternoon, and a stable post-heatwave air mass. These conditions limit surface heating compared to the prior week's 90-plus readings, aligning with climatological norms near 79-80°F for early September. Market-implied odds heavily favor 78-79°F or 76-77°F bins, reflecting trader assessment of model consensus on modest daytime maxima without significant warm advection or clearing skies. Updated runs show low precipitation risk and steady dew points supporting this narrow range, with resolution hinging on the official 24-hour maximum observation.
