Recent polls ahead of Berlin’s 20 September Abgeordnetenhaus election show Die Linke at 19–22 percent, up sharply from its 12.2 percent result in 2023 and placing it in a tight contest with the CDU, AfD, and Greens. This surge, driven by gains among younger and urban voters on housing affordability and social policy under top candidate Elif Eralp, supports seat projections in the low-to-mid 30s. The party’s membership growth to over 18,000 has aided mobilization, while late-August surveys indicate modest softening linked to internal controversies. With the five-percent threshold limiting smaller parties and coalition math favoring a potential Linke-Greens-SPD majority, trader consensus clusters on 30–39 seats as the most probable outcome range.
