Recent opinion polls for Berlin’s September 20 Abgeordnetenhaus election show Die Linke consistently ahead of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen in second-vote intentions, with Linke at 19–22 percent and Grüne at 15–18 percent across late August surveys. Linke has risen sharply from its 12.2 percent result in 2023, while Grüne have held steady or edged slightly lower from 18.4 percent. Factors cited include Linke’s membership surge to over 18,000—surpassing Grüne—and sustained mobilization under top candidate Elif Eralp. Grüne, led by Werner Graf, remain competitive in coalition scenarios but trail in direct vote-share comparisons. These patterns underpin the market’s assessment of Linke as the more likely recipient of higher vote totals.
