This market will resolve to "Yes" if there have been the specified amount or more confirmed cases of Measles (Rubeola) in humans in the territory of the United States of America in 2026, according to the CDC case counter by September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be the CDC Measles (Rubeola) counter 'Total Cases' in 2026 (see: https://www.cdc.gov/measles/data-research/index.html) at the resolution time. If the counter becomes unavailable, another credible source will be used. Note: Only cases reported by the CDC Measles (Rubeola) counter will qualify, regardless of reports from U.S. State agencies or other sources.Ongoing large-scale outbreaks, particularly in Pennsylvania with hundreds of cases and active clusters in Utah, South Carolina, and other states, are driving elevated trader focus on total U.S. measles cases by September 30. CDC data as of early September 2026 show 3,134 confirmed cases year-to-date across 47 jurisdictions, with 95% outbreak-associated and 94% occurring in unvaccinated individuals or those with unknown status. This pace exceeds 2025’s full-year total of 2,289 and reflects sustained local transmission amid declining childhood MMR vaccination rates below the 95% herd-immunity threshold. Weekly CDC updates on case counts and outbreak status, plus any revisions to reporting from affected states, represent key near-term data points that could shift market-implied odds before month-end.
