This market will resolve according to the title of the film with the highest 2026 gross according to the "Gross" column on https://www.boxofficemojo.com/year/2026/?grossesOption=calendarGrosses once data for December 31 is made available. Note: This market is about the movie's domestic calendar gross in 2026 - dates outside of 2026 will not count toward this movie's gross. In the event of an exact tie the film that comes first alphabetically will be considered the winner. If there is no final data available by January 7, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, another credible resolution source will be chosen.Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s record-shattering July 31 opening—second only to Avengers: Endgame domestically at roughly $360 million—and its rapid climb past $2.3 billion worldwide have locked in overwhelming trader consensus, as the Tom Holland–Zendaya vehicle became the year’s highest-grossing title within its first week and has maintained the top spot through early September with exceptional word-of-mouth and minimal competition. Strong presales, franchise momentum, and broad audience appeal across demographics underpin its 93.5% implied probability. An upset would require Avengers: Doomsday, slated for December 18, to deliver an unprecedented global haul exceeding the Spider-Man sequel’s current trajectory, a scenario viewed as improbable given historical December superhero performance patterns and the frontrunner’s already insurmountable lead.
