Recent polls for Berlin's September 20 state election show CDU, Linke, AfD, and Grüne clustered within a few points of each other between roughly 15% and 22%, creating substantial uncertainty over final rankings. Linke and CDU have traded narrow leads in successive surveys, while AfD has posted steady gains from its 2023 result and Grüne has held mid-teens support amid shifting voter priorities on housing and other local issues. This tight four-way contest for the upper positions leaves third place particularly fluid, with trader consensus reflecting the narrow spreads and limited remaining campaign events that could still reorder the parties. SPD trails further back, reducing its prospects for a podium finish.
