Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Banská Bystrica, Banská Bystrica Region and Slovakia, including the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic (https://volby.statistics.sk/).Ján Nosko holds the leading position in the Banská Bystrica mayoral race as the incumbent since 2014, seeking a fourth term as an independent with established local support from left-leaning parties and a record of prior victories exceeding 66 percent.
