Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon have focused on expanding a security zone along the border and neutralizing Hezbollah infrastructure, with recent advances crossing self-established lines into villages in the Tyre district such as Al Mansouri. Strikes and evacuation orders targeted Tyre itself in June amid broader fighting that began in March, but ground forces have not entered the city proper despite control of nearby ridges and positions offering observation over the Tyre Valley. A U.S.-brokered ceasefire has held with periodic violations, limiting deeper incursions while Israel maintains operational presence to prevent Hezbollah re-entrenchment. Upcoming developments hinge on Lebanese army deployment timelines, diplomatic pressure, and any escalation from Hezbollah rocket or drone activity.
