Rockstar’s June 2026 announcement set Grand Theft Auto VI’s standard edition at $79.99, with an Ultimate Edition at $99.99, directly settling months of speculation about a potential $100-plus base price for the massive open-world title. Traders cite this official MSRP, Take-Two’s emphasis on delivering strong value to maximize the player base for GTA Online microtransactions, and the absence of any subsequent price adjustments as the core drivers behind the 97.7% “No” consensus. Historical patterns of Rockstar prioritizing broad accessibility over premium base pricing, combined with strong preorder momentum, reinforce the market’s near-certainty. The only realistic upset would require an unexpected last-minute hike before the November 19 launch, an outcome with no supporting signals.
