SpaceX’s completed June 2026 IPO at a $1.77 trillion valuation sets the primary benchmark driving the 58.7% implied probability it will hold the higher IPO market cap. The record $75 billion raise, fueled by Starlink revenue, reusable launch cadence, and xAI integration, positioned the company among the largest U.S. public firms despite post-listing volatility. OpenAI, last valued privately near $852 billion, confidentially filed in June but has shifted toward a potential 2027 debut to pursue a $1 trillion target after advisers flagged weaker 2026 market conditions. Trader consensus weighs SpaceX’s demonstrated public-market execution and diversified AI exposure against OpenAI’s timeline uncertainty and higher burn rate, with upcoming earnings and any revised OpenAI filings as key catalysts.
