The tight clustering around 30-42% reflects Monza's emphasis on aerodynamic efficiency, straight-line speed, and energy management under the 2026 rules, where multiple constructors hold comparable advantages. Alpine's surprise pole with Gasly underscores its low-drag package and strong top speed, positioning it well for race pace despite limited overall pace in prior events. Mercedes demonstrated consistent long-run form in practice with Russell, while Ferrari showed competitive cornering and braking on home soil, aided by its latest power-unit upgrade. Red Bull improved overnight but trails slightly, and midfield teams like Haas benefit from the circuit's overtaking zones that reward strategy and tire preservation. With Antonelli starting from the rear and a compact field, late soft-tire pushes or safety-car timing could shift the fastest-lap outcome among several squads.
