Roman Zarzycký, the incumbent mayor from ANO 2011, holds a commanding position in the market ahead of the October 9–10, 2026, Czech municipal elections that will determine Plzeň’s next council and mayor. As the confirmed leader of ANO’s candidate list, he benefits from the party’s strong national performance in the 2025 parliamentary vote and his established local profile managing city affairs since 2022. Opposition figures such as Lukáš Hegner of ODS, Aleš Tolar of STAN, and Pavel Bosák of the Pirates trail notably, reflecting fragmented challenges and the absence of major recent shifts in local polling or coalition dynamics that would alter the incumbent’s edge. Traders appear to price in continuity unless late developments in the final campaign weeks intervene.
