Tomáš Portlík holds the strongest trader consensus as the likely next Prague mayor due to his role leading the SPOLU coalition of ODS and TOP 09 into the October 9-10, 2026, municipal elections. His ticket features a large number of sitting district mayors, with priorities centered on accelerating housing construction, coordinating transport projects, expanding school capacity, and streamlining decision-making. This organizational depth and Portlík’s record as Prague 9 mayor contrast with more fragmented opposition slates, including Petr Hlaváček for STAN, Adam Scheinherr for a Praha sobě-led grouping, and candidates from ANO, Pirates, and smaller parties. Recent coalition agreements and candidate list finalizations in mid-2026 have reinforced this positioning ahead of the council vote that will select the mayor.
