Richard Vereš leads trader consensus in the Ostrava mayoral market due to ANO's established regional organization and his role as district mayor of Slezská Ostrava, positioning the movement to contest the October 2026 municipal elections effectively. Current mayor Jan Dohnal, heading the rebranded srdcOVA coalition of ODS, KDU-ČSL, TOP 09, and independents, holds secondary support as the incumbent seeking re-election through established local alliances. Lower probabilities for candidates including Matěj Gregor, Aleš Boháč, Ivana Lucáková Nesétová, Lukáš Semerák, Rostislav Řeha, and Ondřej Němeček reflect their respective parties' narrower bases or limited council prospects. The outcome hinges on post-election coalition negotiations in the new city council rather than direct popular vote, with no major shifts reported in recent weeks.
