The 2026 Bratislava mayoral election is currently scheduled to be held on October 24, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next Mayor of Bratislava as a result of this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Bratislava, Bratislava Region and Slovakia, including the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic (https://volby.statistics.sk/).Matúš Vallo holds an overwhelming lead in the Bratislava mayoral race as the two-term incumbent backed by a four-party coalition of Team Bratislava, PS, SaS, and Demokrati. Traders price his re-election prospects at 86 percent ahead of the October 24 vote, reflecting his established record on urban development, public transport, and EU fund absorption in a capital that has consistently favored centrist-liberal coalitions. The main challengers—Miroslav Heredoš, Martin Winkler, Jozef Ráž, and Zuzana Šubová—remain fragmented with single-digit implied probabilities, hampered by limited name recognition, narrower party bases, or associations with national government figures less popular locally. Recent candidate registration deadlines and the withdrawal of Dana Čahojová have further consolidated the field without shifting the core dynamics.
