Recent Zillow Home Value Index data for the Los Angeles metro shows typical home values near $965,000 in early September 2026, reflecting just 0.9% year-over-year growth amid flat-to-modest monthly changes. Elevated mortgage rates around 6.65% continue to constrain buyer affordability, with local medians well above incomes and months of supply hovering near balanced levels. Recent California Association of Realtors reports note county-level single-family medians near $888,000 in July with limited upward momentum, while listing prices from Realtor.com stood at $965,000 in August. These factors support trader consensus around the lower resolution buckets, as seasonal patterns and persistent rate pressure limit near-term upside before the September 30 Parcl index reading.
