Tomáš Hrubý, the ANO candidate and former basketball club manager, carries the highest implied probability in a fragmented field ahead of the October 9–10 communal elections, where the mayor is chosen by the 37-member council. ANO’s prior council strength and Hrubý’s local profile from sports provide an edge, though a June speeding incident that cost him his license introduced minor headwinds without derailing his positioning. Opposition options remain dispersed across coalitions, including Tomáš Vohryzka of the broad Jedno Ústí alliance, Yveta Tomková of Vaše Ústí, Radim Bzura of the ODS-led Spolu grouping, and Michal Mohr of the SPD-Motoristé ticket. This multiparty structure, combined with post-election coalition negotiations, sustains tight pricing across lower-probability contenders and limits any single alternative from pulling clear separation.
