**Lukáš Hájek leads the market at 55.5% as the Starostové pro Liberecký kraj (SLK) candidate for the October 9–10, 2026 municipal elections in Liberec.** SLK, which has governed the city for over seven years under incumbent Jaroslav Zámečník (now stepping back and listed at 6%), selected Hájek unanimously as its new leader after ending its prior coalition with TOP 09 and KDU-ČSL. The party is running independently to highlight fresh faces and continuity in local development priorities such as infrastructure and services. Fragmented opposition from new or reconfigured lists—including Liberecká 9 (Zdeněk Chmelík at 4%), Libe! (Tibor Batthyány at 4.3%), Piráti/LOL (Jan Hruška at 11.1%), and ODS/Unie (Jiří Veselka at 11%)—keeps the field competitive and limits any single challenger. Traders see SLK’s incumbency edge and organized base as the main factors behind Hájek’s modest premium, while the multi-list structure and roughly one month remaining until voting sustain uncertainty and potential for late shifts in local voter preferences.
