The early 2026-27 NB I campaign features exceptional parity among a wide group of clubs, with Puskás Akadémia, Vasas, Újpest, Ferencváros, and ETO Győr separated by just a handful of points after the opening rounds. Defending champions Győri ETO and perennial power Ferencváros carry squad depth and European experience that support their positioning, yet inconsistent results and fixture congestion have kept the upper table tightly bunched. Mid-table sides such as Paksi, Debrecen, MTK, and Újpest have shown comparable recent form and recruitment stability, while promoted sides Vasas and Honvéd add further unpredictability. This level of competition across the 12-team field sustains broad trader consensus around third-place prospects.
