The 2026-27 NB I campaign opened with an unusually level field after six rounds, as Puskás Akadémia leads on 12 points while Újpest, Ferencváros, Győri ETO, MTK and others sit within a handful of points. Pre-season models favored Ferencváros for the title on squad depth, yet Győri ETO’s defensive organization and Puskás Akadémia’s fast start have kept European qualification spots wide open. Early results show frequent draws and narrow margins, with no side establishing clear separation. European fixtures for several clubs, promoted sides Vasas and Honvéd, and the absence of a dominant frontrunner combine to leave runner-up probabilities tightly bunched, reflecting the league’s typical parity and the long schedule still ahead.
