Recent polling shows Democrats holding a substantial edge among young men (ages 18-29) on the 2026 generic congressional ballot, with leads of 30 points among likely voters in one survey and double-digit margins in others from Pew and Harvard. This positioning stems from declining approval for President Trump among younger cohorts, reaching net -44 in recent data, alongside economic pressures and lower enthusiasm for Republican candidates in a midterm environment. Young men exhibit higher rates of indecision and lower projected turnout than young women or older groups, while Democrats benefit from stronger stated intent to participate. These patterns, consistent across multiple 2025-2026 surveys, underpin the market's implied probabilities favoring Democratic performance with this demographic.
