Recent polling shows Democrats holding a lead among white women voters ahead of the November 2026 midterms, with one survey indicating a 47-39 percent edge after Republicans won the group in 2024. President Trump's net approval among women has dropped sharply to minus 30 points in August tracking, driven by concerns over economic conditions including inflation and broader dissatisfaction extending to suburban and independent segments. These shifts align with a widening gender gap favoring Democrats on the generic congressional ballot, where women overall prefer Democratic candidates by double digits in multiple surveys. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing positions Democrats as the clear favorite to secure the largest share of this demographic based on exit poll resolution criteria.
