**The 2026 NFL season opens with tight market pricing on the interceptions leader because multiple defenses enter with comparable talent and opportunity to force takeaways.** Strong secondaries and pass rushes across teams such as the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, Chicago Bears, and Los Angeles Rams project to generate double-digit interceptions, supported by recent draft investments and scheme continuity. Young or turnover-prone quarterbacks on opposing rosters, combined with aggressive coverage concepts and pressure packages, create realistic paths for several units to finish near the top. Historical regression in takeaways and the inherent week-to-week variance in defensive production keep the implied probabilities clustered, as no single team holds a decisive edge in projected volume or efficiency entering Week 1.
