The primary resolution sources for this market will be official announcements from the Golden State Warriors and/or the acquiring team. A consensus of credible media reporting may also be used to resolve the market.Stephen Curry’s strong public commitment to remaining with the Golden State Warriors drives the market’s heavy weighting toward that outcome. Entering the final year of his current deal at roughly $62.6 million for 2026-27, the 38-year-old extension-eligible guard has repeatedly stated his desire to finish his career in the Bay Area, including comments in late August and early September 2026 emphasizing no distractions from contract talks and readiness for year 18. Warriors officials, including GM Mike Dunleavy and owner Joe Lacob, have expressed matching confidence and flexibility on terms up to the maximum two-year extension permitted under the over-38 rule. Limited appearances due to injuries in 2025-26 and an aging supporting cast have not altered the consistent messaging from both sides. A shift would require an unforeseen change such as a major injury altering his outlook or an unexpected roster collapse prompting a trade request, neither of which current reporting supports.
