This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Rookie of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Sal Stewart has surged to a dominant position in the NL Rookie of the Year market through elite power production and run production as the Cincinnati Reds first baseman. Entering September he leads MLB with 105-plus RBIs while slugging 31 home runs, a .268 average, and strong extra-base output that places him on pace to become the first rookie since Walt Dropo in 1950 to pace the majors in RBIs. No rookie since the award’s 1947 inception has posted a 30-homer, 100-RBI season without winning the honor. Recent late-August and early-September performance has extended his lead, while contenders such as Mets starter Nolan McLean and injured Cardinals second baseman JJ Wetherholt trail due to comparatively lower counting stats or missed time from wrist tendinitis. A late surge by McLean or heavy voter weighting of defensive WAR could narrow the gap, though Stewart’s historical profile and sustained production anchor current trader consensus.
