Rising component costs for memory and storage, combined with Apple CEO Tim Cook's recent acknowledgment that price increases are unavoidable, form the core driver behind trader expectations for the iPhone 18 Pro. Recent iPad and Mac price hikes of up to $300 have reinforced analyst views that Apple will pass along higher bills of materials, with estimates for the Pro model ranging from a modest $50–100 increase over the iPhone 17 Pro's $1,099 starting price to $200–300 hikes pushing it toward $1,299–$1,399. Leakers and firms like IDC, TechInsights, and J.P. Morgan cite supply constraints and new camera systems as key factors. The September 9 launch event will reveal official pricing and could resolve uncertainty around standardized U.S. tiers versus margin protection.

This market will resolve based on the pre-tax launch price in USD of the standard edition of the iPhone 18 Pro as listed on the official Apple Store website or Apple’s retail pricing in the United States on the first official day of its release.
