The 2026–27 NB I season opened with notable parity among a cluster of clubs, keeping the runner-up market tightly bunched. Defending champions Győri ETO FC face European commitments that could stretch resources, while Ferencvárosi TC aim to rebound from last season’s title loss but have started unevenly. Puskás Akadémia leads the early table through strong defensive organization and consistent results, with newly promoted Vasas and established sides like Újpest FC, MTK Budapest, and Paksi SE showing competitive depth in attack and midfield. Multiple teams possess comparable squad quality, recent form, and head-to-head records, leaving traders pricing realistic paths for any of several sides to finish second behind whichever club claims the title.
