Several teams remain tightly bunched in the race for second place in the 2026 Chinese Super League, with Chengdu Rongcheng holding a clear lead at the top. Dalian Yingbo, Beijing Guoan, Qingdao West Coast, Shandong Taishan, and others sit within a narrow points range after 24-26 matches, fueled by inconsistent results, draws in key fixtures, and points deductions affecting multiple sides including Shanghai Shenhua. Recent form shows fluctuating goal differences and mixed home/away splits, while head-to-head records and remaining schedule difficulty add uncertainty. This parity in standings and momentum sustains the even trader consensus across contenders for runner-up.
