The 2028 US Presidential Election is scheduled to take place on November 7, 2028. This market will resolve to “Yes” if the person who wins the 2028 US Presidential Election is a woman. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. The resolution sources for this market will be the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race for the same candidate by the inauguration date (January 20, 2029) this market will resolve based on who is inaugurated.Early positioning for the 2028 presidential election features male frontrunners on both sides, with Republican figures such as Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio leading early aggregates and Democratic contenders including Gavin Newsom, Pete Buttigieg, and Josh Shapiro polling ahead of alternatives. Prominent women like former Vice President Kamala Harris trail in betting markets despite some national survey leads, while Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has signaled she will not run and other potential female governors face term limits or lower visibility after the 2026 midterms. These dynamics, alongside historical nomination patterns and electability considerations following recent cycles, underpin the current trader consensus on the outcome.
